Our current rate to replace the DC jack on your PC laptop is : $130 (plus the cost of the DC jack. Most jacks average about $15). Warranty included!
Take a look below at some of the symptoms caused by a bad DC jack (commonly referred to as a power jack):
- Laptop intermittently charges.
- You have to position the ac adapter a certain way for it to charge.
- You smell smoke or burning plastics (*if you do experience this , please unplugged the laptop and call us! This is very dangerous)
- When you plug in your ac adapter you notice it is very loose.
We will remove the bad DC jack and install the direct replacement for your model laptop. Beware of other companies that just rig a jack or fashion a “work around” to get you going. This can be very dangerous and potentially damage your motherboard beyond repair.

Q: Why should you replace the DC jack?
A: If you look at the cost of replacing your DC jack to the cost of replacing your motherboard it is a no brainer. A typical laptop motherboard costs between a $100-$400, and then on top of that a couple of hours of labor. This could easily exceed the value of the laptop itself!
Q: Why don’t most computer repair shops repair DC jacks?
A: In order replace a DC jack you have to completely dissasemble the laptop, removing the motherboard and then de-soldering and soldering on another DC jack. This can be very time consuming and requires great skill and experience. Most computer repair companies aren’t up to the task and will tell you the motherboard needs to be replaced which simply isn’t true.
Q: Do we ship out your laptop to have a third party do the repairs?
A: ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! There are a lot of companies (including Best Buys, Circuit City, etc.. ) that will take your laptop in and ship it to a third party to have them do the repair. This can take weeks and you never know where or who has your laptop. All of our repairs are done in house. You most likely will meet and shake the hand of the person who will be working on your laptop. Your laptop will be in our possession the entire time.
Q: What do I need to bring with me or include in the shipping box?
A: We absolutley need your power adapter when you bring in the laptop. We need to make sure this adapter is working properly or we can not offer a warranty on the service and parts.
